For over 20 years, orthopedics played a crucial role in the life of our founder Darcy Heck. Her daughter, Emilee, was diagnosed at age 3 with a rare, undiagnosable disorder affecting every bone, ligament, tendon, and muscle in her body. Despite dire predictions from doctors, Emilee defied the odds. Now a young adult, she walks without a wheelchair and has undergone over 20 surgeries to correct muscle contractions.
The empathy and compassion shown by Shriner’s Hospital and other caring Orthopedic Surgeons and Specialists during this challenging time were influential in shaping the core values at Eaze Medical Solutions. Darcy believed that people can make a difference in helping others.
Eaze Med’s journey began in September 2014 when Darcy Heck founded the company (originally called Eaze Bracing) from a spare bedroom in her home. The name “Eaze” was inspired by Darcy’s children: Emilee, Alec, Zackery, and Everyone else who contributed to shaping the dream.
Initially focused on providing orthotics and prosthetic solutions for injured employees, Eaze Med quickly gained a reputation for its personalized service. As clients recognized the exceptional care Eaze Med provided, they requested expansion into additional service lines.
